organizational BENEFITS

The benefit of Black Belt initiatives

The main advantage of Black Belt projects is that they produce more impactful results. Green Belt projects tend to be more focused on their area of responsibility. They tend to work with smaller, more localized teams. Black Belts, on the other hand, are the true experts in methodology. Their projects often span multiple departments and their stakeholders and contribute significantly to the organization’s annual goals. They hold more of a leadership role than the typical project management responsibilities of a Green Belt. Black Belt knowledge is more effective in larger organizations that face more complex challenges and cross-functional issues.

You can participate in this training from anywhere in the world. We’ve designed our program to maximize interaction and engage participants in a fun way: For example, through a live value stream analysis where you dive into a process and build it from scratch. Or a team exercise that demonstrates why ‘Standard Work’ actually works. It’s a hands-on experience you can do from the comfort of your own home – very convenient, but just as educational.

About the Green Belt to Black Belt Training

Elevate your understanding of Lean Six Sigma to a new level. Become a continuous improvement leader and act as an expert on Lean Six Sigma projects. Green Belt to Black Belt training is the ideal choice to reach the highest levels of the methodology.

The effectiveness of Lean Six Sigma Black Belts is based on their rare ability to help everyone save time. Time is always a scarce commodity. But by refining processes, creating common routines and changing the way people deal with hurdles at work, Lean Six Sigma practitioners can save incredible amounts of time. Black Belts learn how to deconstruct and rebuild processes, how to engage others in continuous improvement, and how to improve the standard of work for everyone.

As a Black Belt, you are now able to analyze and interpret process statistics using tools such as Minitab. The insights gained through the use of such tools enable incredibly effective process improvements and remove any doubt about further efforts.

In the next section, we will show you what special features the training offers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

1. Can I enroll a training without any prior experience or knowledge of Lean Six Sigma?

Every training we offer assumes that our participants start the training without any knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma methodology. It starts with the basics and explains the mentioned topics without assuming any prior knowledge. During the training, you will perform simulations and exercises that will help you expand your knowledge. If you choose to do a project as part of the training, you will be coached and supported by one of The Lean Six Sigma Company’s Master Black Belts to help you get to the finish line.

2. Should I go for a Green Belt or Black Belt training?

This depends on your goals and what you intend to achieve. If you would prefer to employ Lean Six Sigma on a part-time basis, for example alongside other work, the Green Belt training would be the best choice. If it’s your aim to work with Continuous Improvement and become a Lean Six Sigma professional, then the Black Belt training would be the right pick. Consider attending our FREE Online White Belt Training to find the answer yourself

3. What is the difference between Green Belt and Black Belt?

The main difference is the scope of your projects. Green Belt projects usually aim to solve problems that only affect the stakeholders of one department. Black Belt projects usually deal with lengthy, complex problems that cross departmental boundaries and affect multiple stakeholders. The duties of a Green Belt are similar to those of a project manager. Black Belts have more responsibility and take a more active, leadership role by guiding other Green Belts during projects.

4. How does the ‘BB Services’ training differ from the ‘BB Manufacturing’ training?

BB Services training is best suited for individuals involved in transactional occupations such as general administration, hospitality, logistics, financial services, etc. BB Manufacturing training is best suited for individuals involved in production, machinery, factories and automation. Of course, graduates of the BB Manufacturing training can also carry out projects in the transactional areas.

5. Do you offer training in other languages?

In Austria we offer our courses in English and in German languages. More information about our worldwide presence and courses in the other languages can be found on our theleansixsigmacompany.com world map page, here you will find in which countries we are currently active and offer trainings.

6. What is the right training for me?

This depends on your goals and what you intend to achieve. Why don’t you follow our Online White Belt Training to find the answer yourself?

7. Should I go for a Lean Leader or Lean Practitioner training?

Lean Leaders have a different role than Lean Practitioners. Practitioners carry out small to mid-sized Lean Initiatives mostly in their own workplaces. Lean Leaders on the other hand possess a wider range of knowledge of Lean, lead larger projects, and train employees so they can start using the Lean methodology themselves.
